new...

Hi, this looks fun.

I just joined and wanted to say hi and wave,
*wave*

Yeay for more people with busy fingers that like to make things.
:)

My only problem with being crafty, is that my ideas for projects far outbalance my actual TIME for making projects.. so for every thing I get done, I've got two things in a pile, half done.
*sigh*
but I love it. It's just the coolest thing to hold something beautiful in your hands (inperfections and all) and know that you caused it to be.

    hi!
i think most of us on this tribe are the kinda crafters with 8 million projects in various states of completion...

i like to think we're all too creative to be stuck with one at a time!

    welcome, chat, enjoy, and share!

Hi, as Megan knows, I have a gazillion unfinished projects in various states of completion! I carry knitting on the bus or train with me, to fill the time of going from point 'a' to 'b', I have spinning that I do, black work, sewing (both hand and macnine) ... and yea, the neat thing about it is that I can say... I made this!

blackwork is embroidery which is done w/black thread usually on aida or linen, kind of a counted stitch work... www.blackworkarchives.com/ is a page that a friend of a friend did... she does incredible work!!

wow! That is an insane craft!

My dad got into tatting last year, as a thing to do with his fingers, and I thought that was labor intensive!

It must be an amazing feeling though, to finish a project of that detail.

Thanks for the information... I've seen some of the paintings that were linked from your link, but had never noticed the details before... suddenly there is a whole new world to the vocabulary of each painting. That's very cool.
