I found this site from another group, and it has some cooool socks... but it also had a great pattern for hand warmers!!!

    I just knit a rectangel and sew up the side laving a hole for the tumb. This works wonders. There are so many variations, yarn stripes, purl, ribs, horisontal or vertical. and it's easy so even beginers can mack cool stuff!
    I've made them go up to my elbow before. I've also eperemented with using LARGE needels and fluffy yarn.
    The posibilies are endles.
