I am pretty craft but I am looking for someone do a project for me. I need about 50 decoupage butterflies on tin or stainless steel sheeting. I want them to appear as though they are flying across the water of a glass tile wall fountain. They will be placed on wire pegs and protude from the fountain.
They should be different sizes and cannot rust when wet. They will protrude from fountain but will inevitably get wet and rained on. They must be sealed with something that can endure the water. I saw this in a restaurant in Washington DC but after endless phone calls to the owner, builder, designer etc. I have had no luck researching the technique they used.
Can you recommend someone to do this? Or alternatively can you recommend what materials I could use so I can try it myself?

Fri, June 16, 2006 - 8:37 PMI'd check out the glue section at your craft store. See if anything is waterproof. I remember Aleene's made many different kinds of glue.
I was thinking it may not even be decoupaged, but sealed between plastic like our licenses are.
